Peter Mihaichuk

Production Designer – Art Director

Peter Mihaichuk was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, and has recently returned to raise his family in the Sudbury region after over 14 years in the Toronto area. Peter is a film professional with over a decade of experience in the art, sets, props, and MUFX departments of various projects in both Canada and the US.   This diverse background has allowed him to fully understand all areas of the Art Dept:   Technically, Budgetary, and Creatively.

He is also a practicing visual artist, with representation by Hyena Gallery in Los Angeles.  In fact, it’s his darker artistic merits that led to his eventual path to film, primarily in the Horror genre, and to be penned my the Media as “Northern Ontario’s Lord of Gore”.  But don’t let that scare you… too much.  The gritty nature of Peter’s work is often the element that directors are looking for.

Peter’s combined background of industrial design and fine arts has proven to be the ideal pairing for an industry like film that requires a combination of both aesthetics and functionality.

Peter has over 12 years of experience in set/ graphic design, art direction, & propmastering skills for Television and Film, primarily in the US and Canadian markets.  Peter is a full member of the DGC, and is associated with IATSE local 873.
