Bio:

The night was chilly and a white mist caressed the earth like a succubus. A demon walked the streets looking for his next conquest. He passed various other rivals but disregarded their sophomoric invitations for mayhem. He was focused on his goal and could taste imminent victory. Though he walked in the shadows, his presence was always anticipated. He approached the next home and reached out his arm to announce his arrival when the door burst open. This took him by surprise and he jumped back uttering a cry of alarm. There in the doorway, stood a man supporting a woman well into the last stages of pregnancy. The woman was moaning and massaging her enlarged abdomen. The couple ran past him without a second glance, hurrying towards the vehicle parked in the driveway. The man deposited his wife in the passenger seat and returned to grab a suitcase lying at the door. He turned finally, after locking the door and deposited two fistfuls of candy into the demon’s pillowcase. “Happy Halloween,” the man called out over his shoulder as he rushed back to the neon green VW bug. The demon shook his head and continued on his mission of gluttony.

The witching hour struck and Peter Mihaichuk was thrust into the world.

These auspicious beginnings foreshadowed an affinity to the dark arts and Peter has lived up to these expectations. Beginning his babblings early, in grade school, he was brought before a child psychologist to discuss a disturbing piece that consisted of an all-consuming tornado wreaking havoc with human and animal captives. He continued to push creative boundaries throughout High School and College and was recognized for his accomplishments when he won the “Ron Bloor Award” for emerging artists. For over 10 years, he has worked as as a freelance Production Designer, Illustrator and Concept Artist, mainly in the Horror genre. (I bet that’s no surprise to some of you.)

Self_Nov30_06At present, he lives in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada with his extremely understanding wife, beautiful daughter and strapping son, whittling away the wee hours documenting things that go bump in the night.
